Delete your account
How to permanently delete your Haflah account and what happens to your data.
Delete from the app
You can delete your account at any time, from either the Haflah app or the website:
- Sign in to your Haflah account.
- Go to Account → Delete account, or open myhaflah.com/account/delete.
- Confirm when prompted. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, email support@myhaflah.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm ownership before we proceed, and we action these requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. We remove:
- Your login, profile, and account settings.
- Every event you host, along with its guest list, RSVPs, check-in records, messages, and uploaded photos.
- Your RSVPs and guest entries on events hosted by other people.
- Notification and push-messaging registrations.
Events you host are deleted for their guests too, so please export anything you want to keep before you start.
What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of data outlives the account because the law requires it or because it is no longer linked to you:
- Payment and payout records held by our payment processor, Stripe, are retained for the period required by financial and tax rules (generally up to 7 years). We cannot delete these on request.
- Security and audit logs are unlinked from your identity and kept briefly for fraud prevention and abuse investigation.
- Routine backups may hold residual copies for up to 30 days before they age out automatically.
